Introducing the Kids Craft Workshops.  These are weekly project based craft classes for kids ages 6 to 12.  The projects and skill sets will change throughout the year, with emphasis on upcycled materials and creative exploration. This is a great way to help your child explore the wonderful world of crafting!

 FAQ

Do I have to be there with my child the entire time?

No, but we have some very important rules about this.

1.  A parent (and ONLY a parent) must fill out an emergency slip and safety waiver before their child can attend class without them.  This means that even if another family member will be present during class, the child’s parents or guardian must fill out the form first.

2.  A parent or adult OVER 18 years old must be present at drop off and pick up.  We cannot admit children with underage babysitters.

3.  Children are not allowed to leave the classroom during class time- this means that they must use the restroom with their accompanying adult BEFORE class.  We simply do not have enough adults to monitor bathroom time, so this is a safety issue.

Do I have to pre-register?

Yes.  Our space is limited and we want to make sure that there are enough tables, chairs, and supplies to go around.  Pre-registering also allows us to know how many supplies to purchase for each class.   To register for a workshop visit our calendar of events and select the date you’d like to register for.  You’ll be directed to a class page with a registration form at the bottom.

Do I have to show up right at 3 o’clock?  My child doesn’t get out of school until 3.

We spend the first 20 minutes of the workshop making name tags and eating snack, so you are welcome to arrive by 3:30 (1:30 on Fridays).  Any later than this and there may not be space at the table to craft.  It’s important to stop in early so that kids can settle down and have a snack before we get down to crafting.

Do we have to bring a snack?

We find that kids are much more able to concentrate and craft when they’ve had a snack.  Your child may eat a snack before they arrive, but parents seem to find it easier to have kids eat at our table.

I’m not very crafty.  Do I have to do the craft along with my child if I choose to stay for the class?

Part of our mission at The Crafty Fox is to form connections and bonds through crafting.  We believe that sitting down at a table together and making something is a life-changing experience that we would like everyone to enjoy.  Perfection is never, ever the goal in our classes.  What’s important is enjoying the process and exploring the materials.  If the project is a bird bath and you come out with a picture frame, that is A-Okay with us!  Crafting with your child is an opportunity to discover their creativity and to create something that will mean a lot to you both, no matter what the final product actually looks like.  You may just find that you are way more crafty than you thought!
