Today was our first ever Creative Mama Support Group and it was amazing. I have to say that the support that I have received from the crafty community ever since announcing this big change has been beautiful. It feels like this is the direction that we were meant to go in all along. I really, truly appreciate everyone’s kind words, support, and offers to help. So for anyone who would like to participate in starting up this wonderful new space with me, here are a few different ways that you can help:
– Donations!!! See our wish list below and check your spare room, garage, stash of supplies for anything that you think will fit our needs.
– Donate your skills- We are sorely in need of someone who is great with tools to build us a gate or two. We’d also love an army of sewists to help us make bean bag ottomans and children’s art smocks.
– Come be a part of our community!!! Once we re-open is when the real work will begin. We’ll need students to take classes, volunteers to work in the shop, and attendees at our events! Patronizing a one-of-a-kind space like ours is the very best way to help us stick around forever and ever.
Important dates:
Sunday, April 27- Tuesday April 29: Stuff moving out, carpet install, stuff moving back in.
Wednesday April 30: Painting, unpacking, setting up the new space
Thursday May 1: Shop reopens, Settling in PARTY 10 am – 2 pm (this is a great time to come in and help sew, bring in donations, etc.)

In addition to furniture we would love to have a shared supply of materials to use in the studio. We welcome loans and donations of crafty books, magazines, dishes, fabric, paint, and other craft supplies that are in good condition.
