I’m Amanda Siska, owner and artist behind Bread and Badger. I draw fun animals and offbeat designs that are sandblasted onto high-quality glassware and ceramic mugs by my husband, Sean. We work from our home in Portland, which our employee friends will tell you is always full of the smell of garden fresh cooking.
I taught myself glass etching with a Dremel tool in 2006 when the idea hit me, and I’ve been scratching surfaces in one way or another ever since.
I’ve been particularly drawn to the power that iconic imagery has on the psyche, and the way people react to it. My designs are meant to draw you in and connect with the parts of your personality that define you. Are you a good cook? Do you love bicycling? Which cup will tell the story of who you are?
