Friends. Rocks. Love.

You guys.  I have a friend.  An awesome friend.  Who is crafty beyond words.  Who is uplifting and supportive.  Who has a beautiful heart and who makes amazing things happen.  Maybe you know her.  Her name is Susan and she makes Love Rocks.

If you live in Forest Grove you have probably seen or heard about Love Rocks.  They are small, handmade tokens of love, affection, joy, gratitude, hope.  Susan started making some in honor of her girls, who went to heaven in October of last year.  Each rock is a simple thing:  A rock.  With a fabric heart decoupaged onto it.  They are meant to be given to someone or hidden for strangers to find.  But mostly they are meant to spread LOVE.  There are grief and sorrows in our world that are beyond our control.  But we all have control over our actions.  And there is so much joy in the act of sharing love.  The rock you give may mean more than just a brighter day for its recipient.  Try it and see.

Susan and Tom are currently collecting Love Rocks to take to Troutdale this weekend.  If you would like to add a bundle of your own Love Rocks you can leave them at the shop and we will get them to the right place.  You can also leave them in the bucket under the girls’ tree on Main Street in front of the school district building.  It’s the rainbow tree.  You can’t miss it.
